Training

The need for Training is, of course, obvious.  At least some type of training is always needed to develop whatever new awareness and skills individuals may need to work comfortably – and confidently –  in new ways.

To ensure that training results in effective learning and performance, CSG:

1. Helps organizations to prepare for training by:

  • Defining relevant job functions and associated activities affected by the change.

  • Developing, providing, and/or recommending appropriate training materials for each job function.

  • Identifying appropriate personnel (internal and/or external) to deliver the training.

  • Scheduling training sessions (participants as well as all required resources).

  • Printing all required materials.

2. Helps organizations execute their training plan by:

  • Confirming availability of training resources.

  • Distributing appropriate training materials to attendees (including distance learners) at the appropriate time.

  • Conducting training or coordinating the training effort when training is provided by others.

  • Providing coaching and follow-up support.

  • Collecting informal feedback about the training throughout the training process in order to make any "mid-course" adjustments that may be needed.

3. Helps organizations assess the effectiveness of their training program by:

  • Gathering relevant data and information on the effectiveness of the the training program.

  • Analyzing the data and information in order to develop an initial set of recommendations for improving the program.

  • Conducting focus group sessions with selected personnel in order to confirm, finalize, and prioritize recommendations.
